A new online computer game attempts to capitalize on the current strain of right-wing paranoia and activism, embodied by Glenn Beck's televised blustering and the Tea Party protests, by allowing players to inhabit a world of the near-future that represents a conservative nightmare.   The game, called “2011: Obama Coup Fails,” is hosted by a website called The United States of Earth, and according to David Corn of Mother Jones, it was developed by “a small group of Ron Paul-loving libertarians living in Brooklyn.”  See  Huffington Post andPrisonPlanet.

Phi Beta Iota: We have been stunned to discover that Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, and Jack Salit are viscerally unable to come together to demand Electoral Reform.  Their egos are way too big for their narrow claims to being more representative of America than the two-party tyranny.  This means that the two-party tyranny has a few more years to run.  We've also noticed that most of the “Righteous Sites” that we list are reluctant to actually reject the two-party tyranny for the simple reason that they have invested decades in building up relationships and are loath to test new waters with Independents, Libertarians, Greens, and Reforms.  America is a centrist nation.  Newt Gingrich started the partisan decline when he deliberately sought to destroy Speaker Jim Wright.  Mayor Mike Bloomberg was played for a fool by Senator David Boren and gang, and discovered the hard way that “bi-partisan” is code for screwing the American public in favor of special interests that have bought and paid for BOTH parties–same bird, two wings.  We see a decentralization of America in the future–Alaska, Hawaii, and Vermont first, perhaps Puerto Rico as well, and then as Canada begins to lose the Yukon and Northwest Territories to a new Northern Alliance led by Greenland, which just declared its independence from Denmark, we may see “the nine nations of North America” come into being.
