Phi Beta Iota: Each generation produces thought-leaders that are ignored for 20-25 years.  In the 1970's the focus was on peak oil, peak water, and predatory multinational corporations.  In the 1980's it was defense fraud, waste, and abuse with some corporate poisoning of the environment and humanity.  In the 1990's the focus was on asymmetric warfare and the need to address the desperate condition of 5 billion poor and the threat of 44 dictators, 42 of them best pals of the US Government.  Today the focus is on holistic analytics and the urgency of restoring integrity to all processes.  The Strategic Studies Institute of the US Army has consistently been in the forefront of ethical and holistic thinking, and consistently ignored by multiple generations of Army “leadership” too intent on “going along to get along.”  Corruption takes many forms, the most insidious being neglect of the public interest.
