5.0 out of 5 stars 6 Star Mix of Consciousness and Physics – a Life-Changing Book, April 21, 2014

The author asked me to review this book, and I agreed because it comes at a good time in my 61-year long life. I have read it along with Peter Levine's In an Unspoken Voice: How the Body Releases Trauma and Restores Goodness and The Druid of Harley Street: The Spiritual Psychology of E. Graham Howe. Waiting to be read in this series is The Seven Mysteries of Life: An Exploration of Science and Philosophy.

Among them all this is the 6 star special (my top 10% acorss 1,900+ non-fiction reviews), the easiest to grasp, the most meaningful for those seeking to make the leap from being trapped in a world controlled by a malevolent 1%, to a world in which we have a greater effect on ourselves and our community.

My past reading lists, all leading to Amazon, in this general area are easily found by searching for

Worth a Look: Book Reviews on Evolutionary Dynamics

What most impressed me about this book was its deep appreciation of real-world physics — it was not until the end of the book that I realized that the author was trained in this discipline and has a very healthy bibliography in that discipline included in the book. This is NOT a “kum-ba-ya” book. Indeed, physics is just now coming to grips with the reality that consciousness matters (pun intended), see the below books

Quantum Enigma: Physics Encounters Consciousness
The Future of the Mind: The Scientific Quest to Understand, Enhance, and Empower the Mind
Quantum Healing: Exploring the Frontiers of Mind/Body Medicine

and also these two easily found and *very recent* headlines:

At a personal level, I found this book totally engaging, provocative, and very very credible. This book helps nurture open minds that embrace the possibility of multiple perceptions of reality. Most importantly for me, this book helps show that every decision is a choice between realities. This is a weight-loss book, a self-improvement book, a human relations book, a Gandhi-like “be the change you want to see” book.

At a meta-level, this book is totally consistent with academic literature as well as life experience, and it makes the point that reality exists at scales from the nano to the cosmic within which “human scale” is but one point on the spectrum. Inter-species consciousness and being worthy of a larger cosmic role are in here.

This is a book relevant to thinking about advanced Information Operations (IO). It helps move beyond the static binary era of sequential, linear, on/off thinking and into the age of quantum entanglement.

I have spent twenty years thinking about how to create or nurture the emergent world brain, and I have a note on page 65 stimulated by the author's words, “World Brain exists, we are the retards.” I refer to animal and plant and even sentient rock consciousness, all of them talking to one another, we are the ones in a toxic bubble of our own making.

New to me in this book is “retro-causation” or the alteration of PAST history by present intention and future vision. This applies among many other critical topics to climate change, fracking, fraudulent medicine, war, genocide, other atrocities, and patterns of crime including the now popular elite pedophilia that both the state and the church enable without criticism.

New to me is the fullness of meditation options that do not require assuming positions, reciting mantras, etcetera.

Helpful to me is the reiteration of how important it is to get over the past and focus on the good, focus on the intention. Also helpful to me is the reiteration of ancient wisdom, sound mind in a sound body — with a sound soul. Those that are unemployed — 22.4% in the USA (the government lies) — could usefull consider their forced down time as an opportunity to recreate their body and settle their soul. For me the past six years have been very hard in traditional terms measured by money, and very positive in emergent terms measured by possibilities.

I have marked this book heavily and will not be donating it to the library — this is a 6 star keeper that I will look at again in the future.

A few other books I have reviewed here at Amazon came to mind as I read through this wonderful contribution, and I list them here, knowing there are many others [too few of the reviewers use the Amazon link feature, I recommend this to one and all]:

Hans Swegen, Global Mind: The Ultimate Information Process [ISBN 1858632587] Amazon cheats us all by not allowing mported products to come up under the Link feature — this *is* shown at Amazon along with my review but you have to search for it in the Amazon main search bar. This book was decades ahead of its time in understanding the DNA of information and the DNA of humanity were one and the same.
Empowering Public Wisdom: A Practical Vision of Citizen-Led Politics (Manifesto Series)
The Tao of Democracy: Using Co-Intelligence to Create a World that Works for All
Nonzero: The Logic of Human Destiny
Collapsing Consciously: Transformative Truths for Turbulent Times (Sacred Activism)

This is an extraordinary book that bridges the gap between those thinking about consciousness and those preoccupied with tradtional sciences that have failed to make the leap with spiritual growth commensurate to their technical growth.

Best wishes to all,
