Ebola Outbreak: Lessons Learnt and Future Challenges

Anshu Joshi

The article discusses the devastating effect of Ebola outbreak and challenges in terms of combating this lethal disease. It describes Ebola in brief and explains how the outbreak poses challenges in terms of combating against this particular disease and offers few significant lessons that have been ignored in the past. The article emphasizes on prioritizing activities related to strengthening holistic defense mechanism to combat against natural, accidental or deliberate outbreaks.

Phi Beta Iota: Most important lesson not covered in the excellent below document:

“The truth at any cost lowers all other costs.”

CDC has been misleading first responders and nurses in particular with respect to the efficacy of the N-95 mask that they recommend. We have no direct knowledge at Earth Intelligence Network but we are told that Ebola is a .08 micron threat and the N-95 mask is only effective to .3 microns — anything smaller including Ebola is not stopped.

The matter of Ebola going air-borne has been severely under-reported. Eye protection appears to be essential.

The recommendations of Laurie Garrett with respect to instant testing and international certificates have been ignored.

On a positive note, we believe the Ebola threat to be hyped just as SARS was hyped.

Still unclear to us is the for-profit corruption surrounding the patents associated with Ebola, and the degree to which natural cures including oxygen and vitamin c are being repressed by a combination of ignorance and corruption.
