We are searching for an alternative way of doing things, free from the violence, corruption, fear, oppression, injustice, poverty, consumerism, the abuse of power and the destruction of nature of “the mainstream”. Weare seeking an alternative system of true freedom, dignity and equality and a life in peace with ourselves, in peace with each other and in peace with Mother Earth. We are creating an alternative way for our big family of human beings to organise ourselves, to live in oneness with nature and to fulfil the basic needs of everyone.

Phi Beta Iota: The entire manifesto is well worth reading in full. However, it bears repeating over and over that none of this is new — this is how our indigenous forebearers lived prior to 1491. People forget that the industrial era, scientific reductionism and objectivism, and predatory capitalism are all “new” in relation to centuries of prior art in which humans lived in harmony with the Earth (but not one another). To advance we must restore are “do no harm” stewardship of the Earth at the same time that we learn to do no harm to one another.
