Judge Thomas Brennan, former Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, President and Dean Emeritus of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School discusses his upcoming book The Article V Amendatory Constitutional Convention: Keeping the Republic in the 21st Century. This is likely to be a landmark piece in the Article V movement to assemble in a Convention to propose amendments to our Constitution.

Phi Beta Iota: Worth listening to every minute.  At the very end the Chief Justice discusses how Article V has a fatal flaw — Congress is allowed to NOT accept the recommendations of the Constitutional Convention and not send the proposed Amendments to the States for ratification.  His book proposes a means of overcoming this, by direct state ratification by citizen conventions that in turn also turn out every Member of Congress failing to comply with the will of the public.
