Super-Bug B: "Flesh-Eating"

Phi Beta Iota: This is not news.  Laurie Garret nailed it in her magnum opus,  Betrayal of Trust–The Collapse of Global Public Health, see also Pathologies of Power–Health, Human Rights, and the New War on the Poor (Hardcover) and of course A More Secure World–Our Shared Responsibility–Report of the Secretary-General’s High-level Panel on Threats, Challenges and Change.  What is news is that just as with Peak Oil and AIDS clearly understood in the 1970's, the political leaders of the world are going on with business as usual, and in the USA, continuing to focus on a heavy metal military and “terrorism” when the top three threats to humanity are clearly, in this order, Poverty, Infectious Disease, and Environmental Degradation.    The betrayal of the public trust is now a global and potentially fatal cancer within humanity.
