Harrison Owen lives in Maryland and is immediately available to help any element of the U.S. Government, from White House to the smallest independent element of the U.S. Intelligence Community.

“Learning as Transformation” is one of his more important and most widely-read online papers.

He is the inventor of Open Space Technology (OST).  Below are links to reviews of his two most important books.  At his home page (click on the photo) are links to Papers and other gold nuggets.

Review: Wave Rider: Leadership for High Performance in a Self-Organizing World

Review: The Practice of Peace

We consider his offering so very important to our shared future that below we summarize the ingredients.  This knowledge is free and can be used by anyone anywhere.

1)  INVITE everybody (not just the “insiders” but all who might have an interest.  Taking the  National Intelligence Strategy 2009 as an example, invite customers and clients of intelligence; foreign government attaches (commercial, energy, military, science); United Nations (UN) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO); and members of the other Seven Tribes (now Eight Tribes) without regard to nationality, security clearance, or current employment.

2)  CREATE a nurturing environment–consider not having name tags, not trying to control who does what, simply execute the fundamentals of the Open Space Technology (OST):  create a cricle, offer a bulletin board to serve as a marketplace for ideas, and follow the balance of the OST method.

3)  PUBLICIZE the results.

4)  REPEAT as needed or desired.

That's it.  You don't need a “leader,” just your own professional commitment to do  Doing Right Things Righter.  If you want to do this online, use Open Space World Ning, the free Community Network

Eventually, when enough people across enough organizations “get it,” it will be a simple matter to host Open Space Technology (OST) gatherings that are completely multinational and completely unclassified, to address each of the ten high-level threats to humanity, each of the twelve core policies, each of the eight demographic challengers (to redefine the US relationship in each case), and so on.

The future has arrived.  Now you just need to notice, embrace, and move on.
