There are eight intelligence tribes, each of which has its own authentication procedures at top and sub-levels.. Academic, civil society (including hybrid networks, labor unions and religions), commerce (both legal and illegal), government (at all levels on all issues), law enforcement (including badge versus non-badge), media (including bloggers), and non-governmental/non-profit.
Here are two graphics on this.
We also need authentication of true cost information and all research from the point of creation to the point of aggregation. That can be a combination of individual, group, and time place certifications.
Now to relate this to knowledge, here is a graphic from Dick Klavans and gang, on the state of knowledge today: fragmented to insanity:
Now here is the “objective” for integrating sciences, social sciences, humanities, and faith (yes, faith has to be there) across time and space dimensions. My point (and the last graphic): intelligence is in its infancy. We need to do real-time science (changes to the earth that used to take 10,000 years now take three or less), and we need to get a grip on all information in all languages all the time. That is going to take a world brain and global game in which most of the billions are using a cell phone, call centers are nodes, and we approach every threat (e.g. nuclear risk and climate change) in a holistic manner that is fully transparent, i.e. eradicating corruption.
Our governments have failed us. This is on the next generation–and hybrid networks for whom identity validation is going to be crucial as a time accelerator and space compressor….
