Navy SEAL: Why We Shot Osama Bin Laden on Sight

Lee Ferran

ABC News, 10 Sep 2012

As top American officials and a Navy SEAL who was on the raid that killed Osama bin Laden grapple over whether the al Qaeda leader “resisted” before he was shot, the SEAL said in a recent interview that in the heat of battle, the men on the ground weren't going to take any chances with their target.

It wasn't until other members of the team entered the room and saw a man twitching on the ground that they realized he had been hit in the head. Then, after shooting the man in the chest a few more times until he stopped moving, they realized it was bin Laden, the book says. America's most wanted man was unarmed and though there was a rifle and a handgun in a room nearby, neither had a bullet loaded in the chamber.

“He hadn't even prepared a defense. He had no intention of fighting,” Owen writes.

Phi Beta Iota:  The book account sounds vastly more credible than the official account with one additional comment: just because the team was told in a very public manner that it was not a kill only mission, does not exclude the very high likelihood that the point man was operating under a separate black compartment with a tight bigot list that ordered precisely that.   Furthermore, absent proof to the contrary, we continue to believe that Bin Laden died in 2001 (not necessairly of marfan as former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Steve Pieczenik maintains) , that a series of fake Bin Ladens were manufactured over time at varying levels of foolishness, and that the individual who was killed at Abbottabad, Pakistan but not Bin Laden, but rather a “patsy” as Lee Harvey Oswald was a patsy in Dallas.  We tend to believe that CIA lied to JSOG on this one and that the men carrying out the mission were unaware they were being played.  As best we can tell, there are several covert wars going on in the USA today, one of them aimed at eradicating the Kennedy family males, another at eradicating any Senator or Representative that stands up to Israel, and a third eradicating individuals that threaten to successfully confront the financial-military-intelligence-pharmaceutical-agricultural complex that is busy looting the USA.  Ever since the extremists assassinated JFK and got away with it (with considerably help from LBJ), every President since then has been neutered, and murder at large has been a routine tool for those who wish to maintain the status quo of dysfunctional electoral, governance, and financial processes that benefit the 1% at the expense of the 99%.  Lacking in the USA today is honest counterintelligence able to connect all the dots — every person of influence who dies — such as Senator Tower, Senator Wellstone, asnd John F. Kennedy Jr. — not only needs to have the death investigated, but the details should not be concealed from the public.  JFK Jr. was murdered — the proof is incontrovertible.  We pray that one day America benefits from a Truth & Reconciliation Commission able to publicly present the truth about 9/11 and these varying other coups against the public interest.  There is nothing wrong with America the Beautiful that cannot be repaired, and rapidly so, through the restoration of integrity to the electoral process, the governance process, and the capitalism process.  Absent integrity, we are walking dead.
