Phi Beta Iota: Secrecy is a form of cognitive dissonance. There are good and important secrects.  However, when one is burdened by a mix of immoral, illegal, or simply lunatic secrets, and that is combined with a $15 billion dollar a year “security” network that is often pathologically stupid, then secrecy can indeed induce madness.
