Phi Beta Iota: Buried within the internal report (page 16) is the following summary, Hallmarks of Disruptive Innovators:

  • Introduced by an “outsider”
  • Less expensive than existing products
  • Trageting underserved or new markets
  • Initially inferior to existing products
  • Advanced by an enabling technology

That sounds like the worst nightmare for every industrial-era enterprise, including the educational, intelligence, and research systems that are “beyond repair.”
