See 50 Other Art Renderings of Whistleblowers

ROBERT STEELE: As much as I am honored by increased interest in my views, and increased regard for my integrity — the planned nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize in the 2017 cycle is a hoot — the fact is that I am not a whistleblower. Below is what I sent the kind artist when he shared his art with me.

this is a better definition that covers all instances:

noun: whistleblower

  1. a person who informs on a person or organization engaged in an illicit activity.

in my world of secret intelligence a whistleblower is one who, having exhausted internal channels for loyal dissent, turn to external authorities, risking jail, loss of pension, and public standing, in order to serve the public interest regardless of the cost to themselves and their family.

I am not a whistleblower in the sense that I have never violated my oath of secrecy or revealed secrets per se, rather I am the most published intelligence reformer in the English language with eight books and many chapters and articles, two of the books enjoying forewords from Senators.

I continue to believe that neither the Republican nor the Democratic parties should be allowed to dominate the Executive or Congress, as that leaves 70% of us disenfranchised. Absent an Electoral Reform Act of 2016, championed by Speaker Paul Ryan and Senator Rand Paul — passed before the summer recess — we are faced with two poor choices: a volatile self-centered individual with a very narrow circle of advisors or a world-class demonstrably criminal pimp for Wall Street who has taken influence peddling and — with her husband, wire fraud — to new heights that would make LBJ blush with chagrin. Given a binary choice, I will probably vote for Donald Trump but worry that he is incapable of learning what I have tried to communicate to him below.

May God Bless America and restore legitimacy to the government, power to the public, and the sacred values embodied in our now disrespected Constitution.
