AI could Kickstart a New Global Arms Race – we need Better Ways to Govern it before it’s too Late

There is a lot of money to be made from Artificial Intelligence. By one estimate, the market is projected to hit US$36.8 billion by 2025. Some of this money will undoubtedly go to social good, like curing illness, disease and infirmity. Some will also go to better understanding intractable social problems like wealth distribution, urban planning, smart cities, and more “efficient” ways to do just about everything. But the key word here is “some”

Robert David STEELE Vivas

ROBERT STEELE: Artificial Intelligence is the US national security budget on steroids: 50% waste, 50% atrocities against humanity, and devoid of any Constitutional or human imperative.  “Code” is only as good as its weakest link, and it has been clearly established that all information technology endeavors that are created from the top down are about controlling and impoverishing humans, not about augmenting human intelligence or creating a world that works for all. As with the energy, food, and health industries, this is about a further fencing of the commons.  Information technology development is generally unethical and stupid — it makes no provision for holistic analytics, true cost economics, or Open Source Everything Engineering (OSEE). AI, like the neo-Nazi mind-control programs coming out of the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) that makes CIA look like a chump playing kindergarten ball, is anti-human. It is directly antithetical to the whole cosmic purpose of humanity, the grandest experiment in free will and innovation ever conceived.
