Should MeetUp Be Investigated for Sedition & Racketeering?

When MeetUp closed our #UNRIG Pro (paid) national network, 435 MeetUps in the making with revenue for MeetUp of $77,300, we thought MeetUp had been victim of a Zionist campaign of false reports — what Zionists do for institutions is file hundreds of “inappropriate content” reports such that platorms with poor business practices (no human in the loop) automatically terminate — digitally assassinate — the victim of these libelous campaigns. [For individuals, t he Zionists falsely label them anti-Semitic, and then send out legions of trolls to report every comment made by their target to be spam or hate speech.]

Little did we know. It turns out the CEO of MeetUp is at best a very partisan Democratic Party operative providing undeclared illegal in-kind contributions to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and at worst a closet Zionist.

As his legal team has no doubt been trying to tell him, his commitment of the company to #RESIST, a seditious movement with the declared intent of over-throwing our legitimately-elected President, Donald Trump, is at best poor business judgement and at worst criminally insane and vulnerable to a racketeering investigation as well as a civil lawsuit for tortuous interference against #UNRIG: Summer of Peace, the most ethical civics education movement in America.

Below is MeetUps official blog that spells out its direct relationship to #UNREST and its illegal undeclared in-kind contribution of $195,660 (1,087 MeetUps at the Pro rate of $15 each for each of 12 months) —  the actual total  of illegal undeclared in-kind contribution is actually greater because MeetUp has abused its access to personal information for tens of millions of MeetUp users to prothlezie for sedition and the impechment of our President — our legitimately-elected President, Donald Trump. We have proposed to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, via a mutual acquintance at the CEO-level, that MeetUp should be investigated, ideally under the racketeering statutes

Also below is an excellent article on how Facebook is taking on MeetUp and could ultimately destroy MeetUp as a viable platform — not that MeetUp needs any help, its stakeholders should be deeply concerned by the CEO's bad business judgement and poor management of the company's most precious asset, the trust of the community in its providing a non-partisan civic engagement platform.

We are now considering a lawsuit against MeetUp (at no cost to us — we have been approached by pro bono lawyers certain they can win a settlement, the lawyer gets 25%). MeetUp is a privately-owned company not subject to stockholder oversight — the CEO is perfectly free to be politically and financially irresponsible. He has, however, hurt us grieviously, and we will hold him accountable in the eyes of the larger public and perhaps also in a court of law. We will also offer Facebook our movement as a pilot for demonstrating that MeetUp is no longer a viable platform.

We ourselves have no quarrel with #RESIST — indeed we are reaching out to all those who identify with #RESIST to offer them the more ethical and viable alternative of #UNRIG — but the preemptory banning of #UNRIG, combined with the illegal undeclared in kind support by the CEO of MeetUp for #RESIST as a tool of the DNC — is simply too blatant to ignore.

Facebook Is Coming For Meetup, And Meetup Is Ready To Fight

Like other tech companies before it, Meetup is now squarely in Facebook’s crosshairs. Here’s how the group meeting pioneer is sizing up the social giant.

Meetup to #Resist

For almost 15 years, Meetup has served as an organizing platform for a wide range of political parties and movements, welcoming everyone from the Howard Deaniacs to the Tea Party. “We’re vital plumbing for democracy,” we always said. Before today, our company had never taken a partisan stance. It’s not a decision we take lightly.

But after Donald Trump’s order to block people on the basis of nationality and religion, a line had been crossed. At a time when core democratic ideals felt under attack, we looked at our members’ response, and were inspired by Meetups like SF Resist. We felt a duty to spark more activity and broaden civic participation.

As champions of democracy, equality, human rights, social justice, and sustainability, more people (than ever!) are ready to organize, take to the streets, visit town hall meetings, pick up the phone, paint signs, and huddle to make their voices heard.

We are Meetup, dammit! We needed to act.

So last week we stopped normal operations for a company-wide hackathon (a “resist-a-thon”) to help people get involved.

We created 1,000+ #Resist Meetup Groups to act as local hubs for these actions

  • We launched 1,000+ #Resist Meetup Groups, free for everyone
  • We’re announcing them to our 30 million members
  • We made key product changes enabling anyone to schedule local Meetups
  • We partnered with leading organizations to distribute their ideas for making change

It’s time to defend our democracies and restore values of inclusivity, love, tolerance, and respect — one helping hand, one voice, one Meetup at a time.

We’re not operating alone

It’s up to the people to take this forward (anyone can show up, anyone can step up). And we’re lucky to have partners including the Women’s March, Human Rights Watch, Planned Parenthood, the Anti Defamation League and many others who are contributing to our library of ideas for making change.

Meetup exists to create welcoming spaces where people can connect. We look forward to seeing the positive impact from these Meetups when those connections happen.
