Viruses like Covid-19 are a part of nature, but Capitalism-2020 must be destroyed
As economies reel from the meltdown triggered by the novel coronavirus pandemic, governments scramble to build the system back up. But it’s the system that brought about the fall, and if we keep reviving it, will do so again.
ROBERT STEELE: This man should be on President Donald Trump's reconstruction team. He will piss everyone off. That is a good thing. He is not a communist or a socialist. He has a straight-forward view: democracy is not possible absent democracy in the workplace. Democracy is not possible if the 1% own all the capital and labor has no say over its value and its focus.
Please read his article carefully. He is speaking to the need to destroy predatory capitalism, the same capitalism that contrived the Great Depression, that contrives wars and disease, and treats poverty as a profit center. There is much value to be found in his perspective.
