You are watching a movie… a tightly scripted drama that manoeuvres every stakeholder group into just the right position at just the right time. People have to be shown, especially the reluctant libs. Their choices have consequences. Sometimes they are poor choices with terrible consequences.
There is a paradox in that exposing the evil and corruption makes it look like everything is going to hell, when it fact it is the precursor to ending it. Beisser's Paradox of Change – we only change when we fully identify with what is, not what could or should be.
If the movie needs people being threatened with prison for not turning up for their mandatory vax, that's what the narrative will do. Doesn't mean what you are seeing is always genuine or the danger is what it appears to be. Some of the death and destruction and chaos will be very real, but everything is contained so that ultimately it is the path of least violence.
