ROBERT STEELE: The report is technically correct, and a known issue for the past quarter center. Realistically we do not lack for water — 75% of the earth's surface is water, it just has salt in it. What we lack for is intelligence with integrity in government — what is being done in our name with water — from Coca Cola and Nestle drawing down water they do not own to fracking to terrible industrial and animal husbandry practices — is in the aggregate a crime against humanity. We require electoral reform to reboot governments into leveraging holistic analytics, true cost economics, and open source everything engineering, and we require a complete redesign of how we live and work. The Pope's forthcoming visit to the UN on climate change misses the mark — climate change is a symptom of political and economic corruption. Nothing will change no matter how much money Tom Steyer throws at this one issue. “Root” is electoral reform followed by applied collective intelligence.
