Human – animal – plant communications….one day.
Bats, carnivorous plants communicate
Nepenthes hemsleyana, a pitcher plant from Borneo, is able to reflect bats' ultrasonic calls back to the animals, Discovery News reported. “With these structures, the plants are able to acoustically stand out from their environments so that bats can easily find them,” study co-author Michael Schöner was quoted as saying.
