Not long ago, open source software (OSS) was dismissed as a cheap alternative to proprietary software. Today, open source is acknowledged as the future of software for innovative organisations, allowing IT departments to accelerate the process of bringing their ideas to market.
Phi Beta Iota: Similarly an integrated Alternative Intelligence Community (AIC) is finally emerging — largely non-profit in nature, and doing for clients what the secret intelligence communities refuse to do. A post-Western post-Google Internet and a post-Western post-banking economy and a post-Western post-CIA/NSA are all emergent.
