Highest flourishing of culture: The most powerful combination was pre-nuptial chastity coupled with “absolute monogamy”. Rationalist cultures that retained this combination for at least three generations exceeded all other cultures in every area, including literature, art, science, furniture, architecture, engineering, and agriculture. Given your coverage of the pedos etc, just thought you may be interested in this article (first link below).
It's a commentary on a book by J.D. Unwin published in 1933, which highlights how sexual morality or lack thereof contributes to society. Unwin analyzes the cultures through the ages, basically tries to come up with a correlation between sexual morality and other aspects of their culture, like how they treat the dead etc.
It's commonsensical and the book may be arguably old but it's interesting to see how someone has actually gone through the trouble to do a study BEFORE the 60s when the west started going down the toilet.
I have sped-read Unwin's book and cannot come up with a better article (above) and summary (below).
