Michael D. Ostrolenk completed his Masters Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology atJohn F. Kennedy University and BA in government at West Virginia Wesleyan College. He did post-graduate training in health andsomatic psychology and is certified in Spiral Dynamics and Wade Mindsets. He is currently a licensed psychotherapist (CA).
In the area of health care, Michael founded the Medical Privacy Coalition (2001-present) and was a program manager for the Natural Health Research Institute(2007) and Senior Political Analyst for Global Health Media (2006-2008). He presently represents the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, blogs at Takebackmedicine.com and consults for the Swankin & Turner law firm.
Working to promote civil liberties, Michael co-founded and is National Director of the Liberty Coalition, a transpartisan coalition of groups working to protect civil liberties, privacy and human autonomy (2005- present). He is presently the coalition coordinator and public policy counsel for the Campaign for Liberty working on transparency and open government issues. He also sits on the Steering Committee for Openthegovernment.org.
Michael is the Executive Director of the Transpartisan Center in Washington DC. He served as President of Reuniting America (2007-2008) as well as Co-Director (2006-2007). He is also a founding member of the Integral Institute
Michael advocates for American national security interests as a co-founder of the American Conservative Defense Alliance, which works to promote a traditional conservative foreign and defense policy (2008- present).
Michael also consults for HSLEADER (2007-present) and is a registered Personal Protection Specialist in the State of Virginia. He is a member of Class 62 from the Executive Projection Institute and the Nine Lives Associates.
He has written for a wide variety of publications ranging from USA Today to The American Conservative Magazine and speaks frequently about health-care and national security related issues.
