The Pope has the power to mobilize a margin of victory for a Democratic or Independent candidate committed to addressing the top three threats to humanity (poverty, disease, and environmental degradation). The Pope also has a problem: the conservative nature of the Church drives the progressive left that cares about all three issues out of the Church and out of hearing. In the hands of God.
