CIA Awards Secret Multibillion-Dollar Cloud Contract
The Central Intelligence Agency has awarded its long-awaited Commercial Cloud Enterprise, or C2E, contract to five companies—Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Google, Oracle and IBM.
Phi Beta Iota: This is amusing in part because Robert David Steele, in his preliminary announcements about Web 3.0, has been saying that it will be cloud free. CIA has also made zero provision for sense-making tools or the ingestion of analog information or the harnessing of all human minds (including those pesky impoverished foreigners in the rural areas). Or for creating a Smart Nation, Global Game, or World Brain. Just more waste. As Bill Binney has so famously said, “keep the problem alive so you can keep the money moving (and growing).” Alert Reviewer adds: At the CIA, Silos R'Us. We don't need no 90% of all relevant data nor do we need all-source fusion.
