Source: Body found in rubble of burned cabin
BIG BEAR, Calif. (AP) — The extraordinary manhunt for the former Los Angeles police officer suspected of three murders converged Tuesday on a mountain cabin where he was believed to have barricaded himself inside, engaged in a shootout that killed a deputy and then never emerged as the home went up in flames.
A single gunshot was heard from within, and a charred body was found inside.
Phi Beta Iota: One more good man downed by a corrupt system. LAPD is so dirty on this one — as are the politicians covering up for LAPD — we do not expect Lt Dorner's death to be honored with anything resembling a house cleaning, but that is what LAPD needs. Not quite our Tunesian fruit seller, but a good start. The misbehavior of the dirty 20% is placing the lives of the clean 80% of all cops at risk.
