The quirks of WordPress are good and bad.  Good is that everything is indexed instantly.  Bad is that every post citing the book or related to the book you are searching for comes up also, generally in reverse chronological order.  Patience is rewarded by seeing all the dots connected across the literature, the above reference came up on pages 6 and 7 of the search 20 global problems to solve in 20 years, evidently the book has been entered twice, we will not delete the second so as to not distrub any existing linkbacks.

This web site focuses on public intelligence in the public interest, and has a major focus to that end on Multinational Engagement and specifically multinational multifunctional information sharing and sense-making, all extraordinarily relevant to civil-military operations abroad and emergency responses at home.

Pending the creation of UN, UNASUR, and African Union open source multinational engagement networks, the most interesting developments are in relation to the UN's Joint Military Analysis Center (JMAC)  and its counterpart Joint Operations Center (JOC).

Lovely to see a search like this.  Here are the core references and then a comment and then a number of other references, but the reality is that this entire website is about creating a smart nation, and world brain, and four reforms: electoral, intelligence, governance, and national security.

Afterthought:  all the references from the early 1990's are sad but still relevant.  99% of our “managers” have been repeating the same year's experience each year for the past 20-30 years.  There has been no cumulative learning, no strategic development, and that is why we need the four reforms and a smart nation–all of which is rooted in creating a defense open source intelligence grid that is capable of Multinational Engagement that leverages 90 militaries to create two-way reachback across all eight tribes in all languages all the time.

After Jardines broke his word and stole Steele's conference, and then imploded,  DNI staff seems to have taken a strategic pause, along with delegating its ADDNI/OS responsibilities to the CIA/OSC director, which is contrary to the DNI Directive.   Right now OSC deals with a very small number of countries and has nothing to offer the 90 countries waiting for leadership, nor is it able to harness the eight tribes of intelligence in its own country much less others.

Rumor has it that Naquin is planning something, and that depending on who General Burgess picks to be the DIA DISL DIOSPO, there may or may not be a Multinational Engagement event planned adjacent to that.

Steele, who is officially unemployed and seeking righteous work, is focused on finishing his new book which will then be translated into Portuguese and Spanish.  The Collective Intelligence book is being translated right now.  Both will be distributed at a UNASUR conference that is in the very early planning stages and will be sponsored by a government at presidential direction, if it comes to pass.
