Important search.  Something OMB should have created decades ago.  A priority item within the Open Source Agency (OSA) concept of service to Whole of Government and unscrewing the DoD acquisition process which is corrupt to the bone (front-loading, false assumptions, etcetera).  Warning notice: the big money is focused on reducing the deficit as a financial play that benefits Wall Street speculation.  An honest budget simulator would also include true cost economics (cradle to grave internal and externalized costs) and would strive to eradicate fraud, waste, and abuse that is roughly 50% of every federal dollar at this time.  Such a game or simulator does not exist because it would be in the public interest and expose the intiimate details of what Matt Taibbi calls Griftopia.

School Solution:  To fabricate the worst possible threat, each service taking its own liberties, so as to justify the buying of the most outrageously complex and generally unreliable weapons and mobility systems with extremely heavy logistics tails, none of which can be supported by national or tactical intelligence “systems” also built by variations of the lowest bidder on government-specifications cost-plus terms.  The Office of the Secretary of Defense  (Acquisition, Intelligence, Policy) is responsible for producing as much paper as possible, ideally with no fewer than three acronyms per line, so as to keep tens of thousands of lower-grade civilians employees busy, thus justifying the maximum possible number of senior executive positions irrespective of any actual responsibility.  As a precaution against the military actually doing anything sensible, any contractor  employing or otherwise subsidizing a minimum of five retired general officers will be permitted veto power over any honest analysis that slips through.

Searches are a way we learn, thank you.

What most people do not realize when they look at Gordon Michael Scallion's vision is that he is positing changes one hundred years out.  The fact is that the sea really is rising (slowly — the Maldives and Bangladesh are the two most current cases of this reality); and that most urban areas are within a meter or two of today's sea level.  Furthermore, all sources — without exception — have both good and bad to offer.  The “trick” is to not be close-minded.  All sources have something to offer — they need to be discriminated, distilled, and integrated.

There are three long-term issues that the US Government is not thinking about with the strategic vision that it should:
