According an interesting study presented by researcher Sadia Afroz at last edition of Chaos Communication Congress in Germany, the 29C3, up to 80 percent of certain anonymous underground forum users can be identified using linguistics, a data that is stunning in my opinion. Sadia is member of the The Drexel and George Mason universities research team composed of Aylin Caliskan Islam, Ariel Stolerman, Rachel Greenstadt, and Damon McCoy.
Phi Beta Iota: We have wasted at least $50 billion since 1994 doing the wrong things while ignoring the right things. The warnings were given to Congress directly by Winn Schwartau testifying at the invitation of Congress. The warning was given to the Administration (then Bill Clinton and Al Gore) with the letter below, representing the very best knowledge available at the time, and urging an immediate $1 billion investment in cyber-security. The letter was ignored. At what point does “corruption” combined with “inattentive” become “treason?” This is a question that must be asked. The cost of our corrupt inattentive government has become too high.
