Snapping up Cheap Spy Tools, Nations ‘Monitoring Everyone'
Peru — a top cocaine-producing nation — joined the ranks of world governments that have added commercial spyware to their arsenals. The purchase from Israeli-American company Verint Systems, chronicled in documents obtained by The Associated Press, offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look into how easy it is for a country to purchase and install off-the-shelf surveillance equipment. The software allows governments to intercept voice calls, text messages and emails.
Phi Beta Iota: What most policy officials do not realize is that Israel is the absolute top country in the world for piggy-backing on everyone else's surveillance systems. Every bit of data collected by an Israeli company goes back to Israel. Every capability installed by an Israeli company is available for directed collection by the government of Israel (and rogue elements of the Zionist faction). The same is true of US, Chinese, French, German, and Russian offerings, but Israel is hands down the best at exploiting everyone all the time….at the expense of the exploited public!
