Half The World's Population Is Not Yet On The Internet
Less than half of the world's population still isn't using the Internet, although the numbers are improving, according to a United Nations report.
A report recently released by the United Nation's International Telecommunication Union (ITU) found that 47.1% of the population is online, an increase from 2015's figure of 43%.
Phi Beta Iota: The US military, US diplomats, US commerce, and US development are simply not thinking clearly about this fact. It matters for two reasons. First, the fastest way to create infinite stabilizing wealth that keeps all those pesky illegal immigrants home (and starts the process of deposing dictators) is to give everyone a free cell phone — an open source cell phone costs a fraction of a proprietary cell phone — and connect them to call centers that do have the Internet and can education “one cell call at a time,” the original vision of Earth Intelligence Network. Second, the US C4I system is beyond retarded — it is pathologically dysfunctional and expensive beyond belief, while requiring 3-6 contractors for every soldier supported. Alt-C2 / Alt-C4I is the coming thing and no one in DoD has a clue. It is also easily jammed by the Chinese and the Russians among others.
