‘He'll be re-elected': Trump and allies tout the sweet smell of 2020 success

Anthony Scaramucci, who spent an ill-fated 11 days at the White House last year as communications director, has written a book lionising the president.

Scaramucci believes the mood on the ground is quietly shifting in the president’s favour despite the attached social stigma.

“I’m a sales guy,” he said, “I returned to my company and I’ve travelled the entire country over the last 12 months, and what I can tell you is that the whisper is up.

“What’s the whisper? ‘Hey, I got to tell you something, I am actually a big time Trump supporter, please don’t tell anybody because I’m not allowed to say that in my country club.’ ‘Hey, excuse me, you know what, I work in Hollywood, I’m telling people I’m a diehard liberal because I’ve got to get work here, but I actually love Trump. Can you promise me not to tell anybody?’ ‘Oh hey, I’m a venture capitalist up here in San Francisco, I actually love Trump but you can’t say you love Trump, you’ll be ostrasised from the social club.’ So what I love about the liberals is the collective speak there.”

ROBERT STEELE:  While it may be premature to count on winning in 2020 — a great deal could happen including Presidential incapacitation, hats off to author David Smith for a professional article with serious sources and useful links.  In the case of President Trump, the mid-terms are more important than they would be for anyone else — if the Democrats take the House they will repeat what they did to Justice Kavanaugh, over and over and over.  There is neither civility nor patriotism to be found among the Democrats. I speculate that there will be developments shortly that will see many Members of Congress — Republican as well as Democratic — forced to leave office, with many special elections.

Here are three things the President can do, this coming week or two, to get a bump in the mid-term election:

01 Appoint Carol Mosely Braun to the UN as a :”healing” transpartisan appointment.  The last thing we need is another entitled white woman at the UN.  This would be a shock and awe appointment.  It hits three demographics — women, color, and Democratic fence  sitters.

02 Pardon the Black Panthers still in prison —  they are political prisoners.  Offsets/complements the Kayne West show.

03 Commit to #UNRIG Electronic Reform Act for passage in 2019 — that will get a bump with Independents and Libertarians and maybe even Greens.
