McGraw-Hill Map Censors Map of Israel's History

In March 2016 executives at McGraw-Hill took the extreme step of withdrew a published text from the market and then proceeded to destroy all the remaining books held in inventory. The book “Global Politics: Engaging a Complex World” contained a series of four maps that show “Palestinian loss of land from 1946 to 2000.”

Indonesia Leader Calls on Muslim World to Unite on Palestine

Indonesia's president on Monday urged a summit of Muslim nations to be part of the solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict rather than part of the problem. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, who heads the most populous Muslim nation, said the entire world is concerned by the deterioration of the situation in Palestine and criticized what he called Israel's “unilateral and illegal policies.” Officials from 57 countries are meeting in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, for a special summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation that is focused on Palestine and Jerusalem.

Imagine the following scenario: 207 million cardboard book boxes, end-to-end, circumnavigating Earth, like railroad tracks, going all the way around the planet. That’s a lot of book boxes. Now, fill the boxes with radioactive waste. Forthwith, that’s the amount of radioactive waste stored unsheltered in one-tonne black bags throughout Fukushima Prefecture, amounting to 9,000,000 cubic metres.
