Phi Beta Iota: Despite truly superb questions from the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) staff, the deal appears to have been cut to confirm Brennan without questioning him about Benghazi or Petraus or his private deal with Jim Clapper. Nor are they addressing Brenan's role in the continued failure of the National Counterterrorism Center (NTSC) over which he had White House oversight. They appear to be excusing his drone campaign, calling the Americans killed by Brennan's order “so-called Americans.” We do not make this stuff up! Of SPECIAL INTEREST is the claim that there is a dual chain of command that by-passed both the Secretary of Defense and the U.S. Africa Command. Allen Dulles started this practice and Dick Cheney took it to high art, evidently the SSCI has no interest in this additional violation of the Constitution and all federal laws and regulations. The SSCI Chair and Members are not being serious about this confirmation.
