Supreme Court Ruled The Media Can Lie With Impunity
So, the Court held that the First Amendment protects the publication of all statements, even false ones, about the conduct of public officials, except when statements are made with actual malice (with knowledge that they are false or in reckless disregard of their truth or falsity). Under this new standard, Sullivan’s original case collapsed, and this is why today, lies are told by media and public officials with impunity.
Phi Beta Iota: While we are not thrilled with the underlying case that led to the decision, the decision itself is indeed at the root of the culture of lying that characterizes the Mainstream Media (MSM) — to include not properly reporting on False Flag operations by the Zionists and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). At the same time, the US Government is failing to enforce the First Amendment and Title 7 (Anti-Discrimination) among the members of the #GoogleGestapo criminal conspiracy to eradicate conservative and progressive voices against the Deep State and the Shadow Government. There is a great deal of work to be done toward restoring the Constitution, the rights of the sovereign member states and individuals, and the Republic.
