5.0 out of 5 stars Has Warts But On Balance, Best Available Overview

October 22, 2009
Steven M. Greer
I elevated this book from four to five stars in part because I know some of the people to whom the author refers (e.g. Admiral Mike Cramer, referred to by name; and John Petersen, author of Out of the blue: Wild cards and other big future surprises : how to anticipate and respond to profound change, who is not named but described in obvious terms), and because it is the best available review for the public.

This book will seriously annoy those who consider themselves scientific rationalists (e.g. Voltaire's Bastards: The Dictatorship of Reason in the West and those who tend to look askance, as I do, and the kum-ba-ya hand-holding crowd BUT–and this is a big but–I absolutely consider this author and this book to be totally credible, and as annoying as the inner spirituality conversations at the beginning and the cosmic spirituality conversations at the end are, this book is a MUST READ for any serious person who cares about the future of humanity and the Earth. I take some of this with a grain of salt, but I want to meet this person, learn more, and believe he is on a righteous path of truth for the good of the larger group, humanity.

Here are my fly-leaf notes:

+ Requires suspension of disbelief, open mind, totally consistent with the literature on Earth as one mind.

+ Jacket blurb and introduction from Apollo astronaut Dr. Brian O'Leary, I respect this very much.

+ Comes at Integral Consciousness and the Future of Evolution and Conscious Evolution: Awakening Our Social Potential from the cosmic perspective, there are no contradictions.

+ Now, today, the technologies exist, some derived from extra-terrestrial debris or assistance, to achieve free unlimited energy and in so doing make clean water affordable and the eradication of poverty and disease inevitable.

+ Meta-theme, the recurring theme, is one of Oneness, which eliminates fear both on earth and in relation to the cosmos. The author excels at pointing out that any effort to portray extra-terrestrials as hostile is both insane and cravenly associated with the selfish gain of the few over the many.

+ Non-hostility and treating others as part of the We is an essential evolutionary step that most of us have not yet achieved, in part because our leaders have wanted it that way–hostility justifies hierarchy and hierarchy benefits the few over the many.

+ 90% of the information about extra-terrestrials is disinformation, and all of the “abductions” are either stages or mounted by covert units seeking to set the stage for government-corporate complex getting a blank check for the weaponization of outer space.

+ Chapter 9 focuses on information channels that are unconventional, and the author goes to great lengths to urge that the reader not be afraid of convictions, instincts, insights, intuition. Throughout the book are snippets about extra-terrestrial intelligence (ETI) being unbounded in time and space, i.e. light is the slow boat, ETI travels 1000 light years instantly because the universe is one and that one is a universal mind.

+ He speaks of the crop circles, I have reviewed two books in that domain, Vital Signs: A Complete Guide to the Crop Circle Mystery and Why It is Not a Hoax and Opening Minds: A Journey of Extraordinary Encounters, Crop Circles, and Resonance.

+ The author makes the case that we are the transition generations from the old paradigm of Earth as a closed system to the new paradigm of Earth as one within the cosmos, and I for one buy into this completely.

+ The author is credibly scary in speaking of electromagnetic weapons being used to kill and wound and discredit individuals, I was one of the early speakers on information warfare and I believe the latest Kennedy death to have been a murder using such a weapons to fry every circuit board on his airplane as he approached the airport.

+ He claims Bill Colby, whom I knew and admired, was killed because he was about to turn over what he had on the subject to the author. I do believe Colby was murdered, I cannot be sure why.

+ I am both amused and concerned as he talks about mind control experiments in which electromagnetic devices can be used to swing an entire group into either total passive agreement or violent active hostility. Meanwhile, the movie is out on The Men Who Stare at Goats, which is the lowest level.

+ Presidents and Secretaries General of the United Nations have been threatened; Vice Presidents have been denied access and threatened with death, and generally information about these programs is deliberately withheld from elected and appointed officials who are considered transitory by this self-appointed “elite.”.

Concluding notes:

This book changes the dynamics of the dialog about extra-terrestrial intelligence (ETI). There is no going back. Governments around the world are starting to declassify information from the past, and I believe that a full disclosure is inevitable. The “good” UFO folks are trying to pressure Obama via John Podesta and others to do this at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, I doubt it will happen, but this is one horse that is not going back into the barn.

My core insight: the secret effort to militarize ETI has cost us decades of time and trillions of dollars. Not only did we not need the The Fifty-Year Wound: How America's Cold War Victory Has Shaped Our World and The Sorrows of Empire: Militarism, Secrecy, and the End of the Republic (The American Empire Project) but we have been betrayed by multiple generations of leaders who either knew and supported the program, or knew of but were frightened into allowing the program to continue unimpeded.

I have serious doubts about many of the technologies actually existing in usable form, such as “eavesdropping out of this world,” but I am completely open to the possibility that the missing $2.3 trillion from the Pentagon, and a good third of the $75 billion a year from the secret intelligence community that produces nothing of great value to anyone, is actually being applied to vast underground cities and safehavens.

I agree with the author's view that in the 9-11 environment, the shadow government overplayed its hand. We are living in an undeclared theocracy that has not been properly investigated, mapped, or exposed. There is no separation of church and state, there are multiple levels of “domination” both overt and covert, and the only thing that allows this to continue is our Collective Ignorance, something Earth Intelligence Network tried to address with Collective Intelligence: Creating a Prosperous World at Peace.

The book ends on an extraordinarily balanced note, that one must be cautious with the truth but persistent. The author believes that leaders of the future will be enlightened, and not eligible for leadership absent being in that condition.

My last four words in my notes: Mind, Integrity, Openness, Sharing.

COMMENT: QUOTE from page 301 that would not fit within Amazon's word limit:

“Right now, we live in a very corrupt world where the decision as to wehterh or not something is told to the public is part of a large medi-business system. It has more to do with whether a 100-million dollar drug company investmenbt will get an adequate pay-off or not. It has very little to do with health–or the truth.”
