Uber-corruption? New taxi service threatens good-paying US jobs while enriching a few insiders

Uber, with Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street insiders as investors, including the Chicago Mayor’s brother, Ari Emanuel, is putting at risk thousands of jobs nationwide while the taxi industry undergoes a game-changing transformation.

Phi Beta Iota: The article contains some deep insights into New York City corruption as well, and concludes that both Chicago and New York have been unwise in failing to provide for both proper licensing of uber drivers, and alternative employment/re-training of taxi drivers being made destitue by uber.

There is a Trillion dollar wealth transfer hiding in plain sight.  It has to do with with the organic nature of the economy of production and what can be produced with available resources.  The resource for this new trillion dollar market is a simple plant. The Cannabis/Hemp plant was known for 5000 years prior to Prohibition.  Now that Prohibition is eroding around the world, the latest volleys of hesitation and argument for the plant's use, comes from the notion that more research needs to be done.  But while more research is being conducted, internet stories and anecdotes are accelerating the truth that the original 5000 year history of FACTS surrounding the Cannabis/Hemp plant never went away in the first place. You don't have to agree, just don't get in the way.  A natural consequence of rapid investment in cannabis (and hemp), will be a massive reorganization of food cultivation, energy production and, financial value.

How PTSD Became a Problem Far Beyond the Battlefield

There are obvious psychological stresses on a person in a group, but there may be even greater stresses on a person in isolation. Most higher primates, including humans, are intensely social, and there are few examples of individuals surviving outside of a group. A modern soldier returning from combat goes from the kind of close-knit situation that humans evolved for into a society where most people work outside the home, children are educated by strangers, families are isolated from wider communities, personal gain almost completely eclipses collective good, and people sleep alone or with a partner. Even if he or she is in a family, that is not the same as belonging to a large, self-sufficient group that shares and experiences almost everything collectively. Whatever the technological advances of modern society—and they’re nearly miraculous—the individual lifestyles that those technologies spawn may be deeply brutalizing to the human spirit.

Who? Who?
Who? Who?

This article's author, Mike Adams, admits to speculating, as he has no proof the GMO industry is sabotaging Chipotle, but I think it is very plausible speculation. The e. coli outbreaks entail a rare strain of e coli, which make this theory even more compelling.  For those who like connecting the dots, the Chipotle incidents, looked at as Adams has, is reminiscent of the odd deaths of multiple alternative medicine physicians in 2015. Another example: listeners of Gary Null's daily noon Internet show have had to suffer days of show blackouts for the last month. The blackout of the show usually ends as soon his hour is over. Very odd. Null is a nutritionist/activist who releases a large amounts of excellent information and analysis highly critical of the medical, pharmaceutical, food and other industries, plus the government.

U.S. Military is not interested and won't do it — but the increased desire for an honest strong man is interesting.

Are Americans losing faith in democracy?

A lot of Americans are viscerally angry at the political system. They hate Washington, they don’t trust politicians, and they are increasingly willing to vote for populist outsiders—like Donald Trump. But we usually assume that for all of their disgust with political reality, they remain as loyal to the ideal of democracy as previous generations of Americans. According to recent polling data, that is simply not the case.

A New Working Constitution Emerges to Codify a “Liquid Holacracy” Governance Model

Bitnation in Partnership with Swarm is developing a proto-constitution, or what it referred to as a holonic contract to govern interactions within its “Slack Community”, which is  a collaborative messaging and sharing platform used globally by organizations for a better workflow, while emphasizing the autonomy of its various holons and individual contributors. How is this system different from existing systems of organisation? What is the targeted achievement from this organisational system? How does it work and what is its viability?
