Computer Programmer Testifies He Was Hired To Rig Elections

A video has been released of computer programmer Clinton Eugene Curtis testifying under oath in front of the U.S. House Judiciary claiming that he was hired by authorities to help rig the outcome of U.S. elections.

Curtis told the court in 2000 that he was hired by Congressman Tom Freeny to build prototype software that would allow authorities to push the results to a 51/49 outcome if needed.

Finland's hugely exciting experiment in basic income, explained

The headlines are shocking: “Finland plans to pay everyone in the country $876 a month”; “Finland plans to give every citizen a basic income of 800 euros a month”; “Finland plans to give every citizen 800 euros a month and scrap benefits.”

The reality is a little less wild. Finland is definitely not close to paying “everyone in the country” or “every citizen” — not yet, anyway. What it is doing is weighing a proposal for a basic income: an approach to welfare in which residents would get a flat amount of money every month, regardless of how rich they are.  Read more.

yoda with light saberThe Future Is Here: U.S. Energy Storage Triples in 2015

Energy storage installations grew 243% in 2015, and it looks like years of growth are ahead.

A recent report from GTM Research and ESA called U.S. Energy Storage Monitor shows that 2015 was a breakout year for the energy storage industry, and an explosion of growth could be on the horizon. Overall, energy storage installations grew 243% in 2015 to 221 MW (standard discharge time of one hour for these reports). Incredibly, this is just the start of the industry's growth. The authors predict that energy storage will be a 1.7 GW, or $2.5 billion, business by 2020.

Imagine the following scenario: 207 million cardboard book boxes, end-to-end, circumnavigating Earth, like railroad tracks, going all the way around the planet. That’s a lot of book boxes. Now, fill the boxes with radioactive waste. Forthwith, that’s the amount of radioactive waste stored unsheltered in one-tonne black bags throughout Fukushima Prefecture, amounting to 9,000,000 cubic metres. But wait, there’s more to come, another 13,000,000 cubic metres of radioactive soil is yet to be collected. (Source: Voice of America News, Problems Keep Piling Up in Fukushima, Feb. 17, 2016).

Gerald Ford White House Altered Rockefeller Commission Report in 1975; Removed Section on CIA Assassination Plots — White House Aide Dick Cheney Spearheaded Editing of Report to Dampen Impact — New Documents Cast Further Doubt on Commission’s Investigation, Independence

The Gerald Ford White House significantly altered the final report of the supposedly independent 1975 Rockefeller Commission investigating CIA domestic activities, over the objections of senior Commission staff, according to internal White House and Commission documents posted today by the National Security Archive at The George Washington University (www.nsarchive.org). The changes included removal of an entire 86-page section on CIA assassination plots and numerous edits to the report by then-deputy White House Chief of Staff Richard Cheney. Today’s posting includes the entire suppressed section on assassination attempts, Cheney’s handwritten marginal notes, staff memos warning of the fallout of deleting the controversial section, and White House strategies for presenting the edited report to the public.
