U.S. and Israel Said to Be Near Agreement on Release of Spy
JERUSALEM — Officials involved in the fraught Israeli-Palestinian peace talks said on Tuesday that an agreement was near to extend the negotiations through 2015 in exchange for the release of Jonathan J. Pollard, an American serving a life sentence for spying for Israel. The agreement would also include the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, including citizens of Israel, and a partial freeze on construction in West Bank settlements.
Phi Beta Iota: Pollard is a traitor, plain and simple. He is also not the Zionist hero he has been made out to be. He offered his stolen secrets to multiple parties before Israel finally took him in hand. Nothing is sacred anymore. Everything is for sale, includng our integrity, in part because those who should hold integrity in the highest place, the intelligence and counterintelligence communities, have themselves sold out. Left unsaid in the article is the real deal: free Pollard and Zionist money on Capitol Hill will buy NSA and CIA a pass on their own high crimes against humanity. Integrity? We don't need no stinkin' integrity.
