One aspect of climate change that people are simply not fully comprehending is the massive changes in the natural environment that are going to come with it. This report about California is just one example of what I mean. The massive restructuring of natural systems is going to be very challenging to our civilization.

Drought kills 12 million trees in California's national forests

It isn't just trees. Climate change is going to disrupt the food system, which is going to disrupt us in significant ways.  Once again I urge you to grow food and encourage and facilitate local food production. Communities that do that will have an easier time going through this inevitable transition.  And that is the reality. This restructuring is going to happen, because climate change is already happening, as this report and the tree story make clear.

California’s Drought Could Upend America’s Entire Food System

Most recent Progressive Change Campaign Committee pool results get discussed by basic income advocates and critics

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee has released the results of its latest poll on voters’ response to a set of progressive proposals. It is fully available online, and amongst 52 proposals, the minimum guaranteed income (basic income, or BI) scored around middle table, with 59% of responses in favour and 27% in opposition with around 10% neutral. This result may seem surprising in a conservative-leaning society such as the United States, and is probably connected with other related issues, such as the desire to end tax loopholes for corporations (74% in favour) or the expansion of Social Security Benefits (70% in favour). TPP: A Bloodless Coup Imposing Tyranny May be Near Upon Us [2015]

Richard Martin, an Internet financial radio pundit, sent the text below, written by Joe Firestone, to those on his email list. Note Martin's key take-away comment on this text:

The governing functions of the TPP regime would not be exercised with the consent of the governed. The combination of the vague definition of “investment,” the ISDS criminogenic tribunals, and the elevation of the principle of “expectation of profits” above the principles of “public purpose,” “consent of the governed,” and “separation of powers,” is tantamount to the overthrow of democracy, preserving its form in national level elections, but emptying its elections of meaningful content in mandating change and conferring legitimacy on national authorities. And, further, the ISDS tribunals if in operation, would not exercise just powers, but only illegitimate power derived from the TPP agreement itself, negotiated in secret, passed without benefit of open debate based on the secret text of the TPP, and intended to remain secret for years after the TPP is signed. That makes TPP decision making, performed without the consent of the governed, tyranny, and makes those who want to pass the TPP guilty of conspiracy to create tyrannical rule of the few over the people of the United States and other TPP member nations.”

If you live on investment funds, or through a pension invested in funds you would do well to re-examine your financial situation. This article explains why I say that.

Sepp Hasslberger: Audi Makes Fuel from Water

It's been done before, even in a much simpler way. In the 1920's Viktor Schauberger experimented with water vortex flow in closed containers with carbon dioxide added and he obtained a flammable liquid. And no, it doesn't necessarily take a lot of energy to do it. Water vortex and carbon dioxide atmosphere under pressure will do it after several hours of rotation. The vortex folds the carbon from carbon dioxide right into the water, making hydrocarbons which are fuel…

I live in the Pacific Northwest and recently had conversations with two real estate agents we know. Both were aware that not only are people from dry states moving into our area, so are the Chinese — just as they did in Vancouver when Hong Kong was turned over to China by the British. This is all part of the Migration Trend I have both predicted and described in SR over the last 15 years when I first saw data suggesting it.
