I see no evidence that President Trump is interested in a war with Iran. He is certainly aware of the growing Sunni Islamist danger that Erdogan represents in Turkey. Destroying Iran would help Erdogan in his bid to dominate the Middle East and North Africa while expanding the Sunni Islamic infestation of Europe. But he must now take the opportunity to withdraw from Iraq and do what he can in concert with the Peninsular Arabs to deescalate.
