Short Honk: Does Amazon Have Facebook Data?

I read “Facebook Gave Device Makers Deep Access to Data on Users and Friends.” The write up mentions Amazon as a company given “access to vast amounts of its users’ personal information.” So the answer appears to be “Yes.” I assume that the NYT report is “real” news. What can Amazon do with that data? Check out the Amazon analysis in this week’s DarkCyber.

Top-Secret NSA Report Details Russian Hacking Effort Days Before 2016 Election

I discussed this article with Bill Binney and we agree that is is at best misleading. In my view The Intercept is betraying the public trust by failing to recognize that Barack Obama and John Brennan led a combination of interagency witchhunt and “spygate” against Donald Trump's campaign, at the same time that they fabricated the entire story about Russian collusion with  Trump and Russian “hacking” of the US election.  DID NOT HAPPEN.

Fake News May Be a Forever Feature

According to the story:

CIA Undermines North Korea Summit By Leaking Report To Media Asset

Just as it was reported that the summit between the United States and North Korea was back on and that Kim Young Chol, the Vice Chairman of North Korea was on his way to New York to meet with officials in preparation for the June 12 summit, the CIA leaked an intelligence assessment concluding that “North Korea does not intend to give up its nuclear weapons any time soon.” The timing of this leak is striking, as it seems to be an effort to undermine negotiations between the two nations and comes just days after ranking members of the Democratic Party and Republican hardliners attacked President Donald Trump over his efforts to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
