Catholic Archbishop Says Pedophilia Is ‘Spiritual Encounter With God’
Archbishop Hart . . . insisted that sexual abuse was “a spiritual encounter with God through the priest” and was “of a higher order” than criminal law.
As the law currently stands, clergy are not legally obliged to report crimes to the police and disciplinary proceedings for criminal activity by members of the Catholic Church are handled internally by Canon law, which operates independently of the regular legal procedure.

Oxfam was told of aid workers raping and sexually exploiting children in Haiti a decade ago
Children as young as six were being coerced into sex in exchange for food and necessities, according to a damning report by Save the Children, which called for urgent action including the creation of a global watchdog.
Its research exposed abuse linked to 23 humanitarian, peacekeeping and security organisations operating in Haiti, Ivory Coast and what was then Southern Sudan.
Just when I thought my opinion of pro-prostitution lobbyists could not get any lower, I see a tweet by one about the Oxfam scandal: “Buying sex from professionals is not sexual misconduct and women in Haiti may well have been glad to get the sex work. I hate prissy Establishment fiddle-faddle implying ‘development’ workers are ethical puritans or saints.”

Phi Beta Iota: Hats off to Newsweek for a decent story. We have no direct knowledge but all indications are that all Popes to this point have at a minimum covered up pervasive pedophilia (1 in 10 priests) and many of them have been pedophiles themselves and perhaps also participants in Satanic ritual torture and murder of children. We predict the Catholic Church will implode with a decade as the Vatican is exposed in detail.
