Online tracking debate heats up after flaws exposed

North Carolina resident Dan Tynan has taken a stand against marketing companies that track his movements online by exposing the comical inaccuracies of the data they collect.

After noticing several ads for mobile phones for the elderly as he browsed the web, Tynan discovered that hundreds of marketers were tracking his every move and coming to inaccurate conclusions about his identity.

“Some thought I was a soccer mom and some thought I was a trendy homemaker,” says Tynan, who is clearly neither.

Privacy advocates warn collecting data about individuals through the web could be dangerous, for instance because it could enable groups like insurance companies to make assumptions that could hurt consumers.

Meanwhile, US policymakers have been debating a series of proposals labelled Do Not Track, which would enable internet users to turn off online ad tracking.

But the Direct Marketing Association, which represents online marketers, says most internet users know they are being tracked online and find the ads helpful.

Corrupt Banks, Corrupt Copyright Industry: Why Do They Get To Externalize Business Problems?

Corruption:  We are in a trend where politicians believe that some business failures are everybody’s problem, but when the same businesses succeed, they get to keep all the profits. This is a ridiculous and counterproductive way to build a functioning economy, and it also threatens fundamental civil liberties. The banking industry and the copyright industry stand out as the most parasitic malcreants in this area.

ADMIN: Yesterday’s Outage was Network Solutions Low-Rent Data Center in India, Not Enemy Action

Commerce, Ineptitude

NOTE:  Network Solutions has gone from #1 to #10 in the web site hosting marketplace, in part because they appear to have been on a descending spiral of out-sourcing to the lowest bidder in India.  Yesterday's prolonged outage was courtesy of Network Solutions' poor management of its data center in India.  While we are planning a complete transfer of all our websites to a new host in June, we are also told that Network Solutions CEO has finally woken up to the fact that he is killing his company, and made arrangements for a total renaissance by June.  Yesterday's outage was NOT an attack by anyone on our public interest site.

Analysis Finds Monsanto’s GM Corn Nutritionally Dead, Highly Toxic

Is GMO corn nutritionally equivalent to non-GMO corn? Monsanto will tell you the answer is a big ‘yes’, but the real answer is absolutely not. And the simple reality is that they are continuing to get away with their blatant misinformation. In fact, a 2012 nutritional analysis of genetically modified corn found that not only is GM corn lacking in vitamins and nutrients when compared to non-GM corn, but the genetic creation also poses numerous health risks due to extreme toxicity.

With the recent passing of the Monsanto Protection Act, there is no question that mega corporations like Monsanto are able to wield enough power to even surpass that of the United States government. The new legislation provides Monsanto with a legal safeguard against federal courts striking down any pending review of dangerous GM crops. It is ironic to see the passing of such a bill in the face of continuous releases of GMO dangers.

Let’s Reform Copyright. With A Sledgehammer. Into Smithereens

One of the better attempts at solving the problems with the copyright monopoly has been Creative Commons. Creative Commons does great work in encouraging creative people to think differently about the copyright monopoly, and about what other people are allowed to do with their work. Unfortunately, there’s one big problem. Here’s an infographic to sum it up:

This is the problem with any law based on the copyright monopoly: it only protects people who can afford to file a lawsuit. If you have the money, if you have the time, and if you have the will to go through a process that often takes years of stress and silliness, then you get to enjoy the benefits of the monopoly. Otherwise, it’s a joke.

 100 Critical Points About 9/11

By “Tommy”

Introduction/Challenge to ‘Debunkers’:

It’s time for ‘debunkers’ to showcase their years of hard work. I’m looking for a concise and agreed-upon explanation for each of the following items so that we might forever put to rest these ‘nonsense conspiracy theories’ about 9/11.

Ideally, I’m hoping for a 1-4 sentence long, simplified explanation for each of these listed circumstances, explaining how they fit into the widely-accepted narrative. If any of these conditions were not present as alleged, or if you find them to be irrelevant, just explain a more accurate interpretation of the corresponding data.

Choose any number or set of numbers from the following list. For each point, write what you believe to be the official stance relative to the mainstream “Arab terrorist” narrative. Consistency and consensus is what we’re looking for. The goal of this article is to have each of these points adequately addressed in order to demonstrate, for any future “truthers”, that there is a reasonable explanation for these circumstances that was simply overlooked by the 9/11 Truth movement.

Eventually, I would like to be able to construct a full outline of the ‘debunker’ consensus on these most-relevant aspects of 9/11.

Some of the points, below, may seem familiar.  Special thanks to Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth (VIDEO) and all of the honest institutions and individuals who have made this article possible.
