I have finally found two places where intelligent people can come together across all moral and intellectual boundaries — one of them is the Coffee Party, the other is Joan Blades' new initiative, Living Room Conversations.  Below are some links — I encourage anyone who believes in America the Beautiful and the US Constitution to treat the Coffee Party as a non-partisan second home, and to engage as deeply as possible in Joan's new offering.

Minimum wage is on the margins — electoral reform is root.

Fast-food strikes widen into social-justice movement

The meta-learning here — in addition to the course material — is about cultivating a co-learning community online. I’m planning the sixth iteration of Introduction to Cooperation Theory May 20-July 10. You can find out about it at http://bit.ly/cooperationclass. If you are interested in how I’ve approached co-learning in my years at UC Berkeley and Stanford, I’m doing a Hangout on Air with eight of my best former students to talk about co-learning then, now, and in the future, April 30, 9 AM http://connectedlearning.tv/co-learning-hybrid-environment.

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) announces his presidential candidacy today, and if you`re interested in where Rand Paul stands on the issues, there`s only one place to go — OnTheIssues.org — our website, our new book, and our App — because the mainstream media will talk all about the horserace and the politics.

OnTheIssues.org is a non-partisan website developed to counter the mainstream media`s lack of focus on issue-based coverage. We send out periodic newsletters during election campaigns to people who subscribe on our website.
