Tower Hamlets SEEN aims to build a local ecosystem of support for young social entrepreneurs to set up their own social ventures. It will be based on peer learning, sharing methods, expertise, research, tools and a desire to inspire young people to be part of the solutions.
UN Experts Meeting on Humanitarian UAVs
The Humanitarian UAV Network (UAViators) and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) are co-organizing the first ever “Experts Meeting on Humanitarian UAVs” next month at UN Headquarters in New York. This full-day strategy meeting, which is co-sponsored by the ICT for Peace Foundation (ICT4Peace) and QCRI, will bring together leading UAV experts (including several members of the UAV Network’s Advisory Board, such as DJI) with seasoned humanitarian professionals from OCHA, WFP, UNICEF, UNHCR, UNDAC, IOM, American Red Cross, European Commission and several other groups that are also starting to use civilian UAVs or have a strong interest in leveraging this technology.

Phi Beta Iota: We have no direct knowledge but an expert observer tells us that CDC is lying to the President and to DHS when it recommends the N-95 mask that is effective to .3 microns. Ebola, we are told, is now airborne and is at the .08 micron level — roughly one third smaller than the containment offered by the prescribed mask. Is this criminal irresponsibility? We think so. Below we repeat the health professional's comment:
I believe CDC and WHO are more concerned with controlling mass hysteria than actual infection control. Once people start fearing the worst, they’ll start exhibiting symptoms. Those will be real enough symptoms, regardless of whether or not there’s a genuine causative agent. Mass “casualties” will overwhelm the system – quick.
It’s also a matter of physics – an N-95 mask, the current CDC and WHO recommendation, is 95% effective on particles .3 microns and larger. Ebola is .08 microns across. Simple. Even so, with 200 million organisms expelled on any given cough, at 5% infiltration, you’ve got 10 million. To infect, you need from 1 to 10 – not one to ten million, but 1 to 10 – period. Odds are pretty good one will get through – in either direction.
But, they’ve distributed N-95 masks and are scared shitless that health care workers are going to refuse to put themselves and their families at risk. We’ve seen plenty of that in west Africa, we’ll see much the same here.

In transmitting President Richard Nixon’s orders for a “massive” bombing of Cambodia in 1969, Henry Kissinger said, “Anything that flies on everything that moves”. As Barack Obama ignites his seventh war against the Muslim world since he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the orchestrated hysteria and lies make one almost nostalgic for Kissinger’s murderous honesty.
As a witness to the human consequences of aerial savagery – including the beheading of victims, their parts festooning trees and fields – I am not surprised by the disregard of memory and history, yet again. A telling example is the rise to power of Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge, who had much in common with today’s Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). They, too, were ruthless medievalists who began as a small sect. They, too, were the product of an American-made apocalypse, this time in Asia.
According to Pol Pot, his movement had consisted of “fewer than 5,000 poorly armed guerrillas uncertain about their strategy, tactics, loyalty and leaders”. Once Nixon’s and Kissinger’s B52 bombers had gone to work as part of “Operation Menu”, the west’s ultimate demon could not believe his luck.
We have a perfect storm in the making. Among the ingredients:
01 Ebola for real — contagious, airborne, mutating.
02 Ebola from Fort Detrick — weaponized, perhaps planted in Africa and Venezuela.
03 Health “professionals” committing treason (CDC) and generally betraying the public trust (Spain, everywhere else).
04 Neo-cons, Zionists, Saudi Wahabbists, and Turks intent on luring the USA into another ground war in the Middle East for varied reasons including profiteering, electioneering, as a distraction for internal disidents and as a cover for eradicating the Kurds (which is not possible).
05 Republicans that see the dysfunctionality of the Obama Administration on Ebola and ISIS as the perfect foundation for taking over the Senate in November.
06 Rogue elements of the US Government all too happy to use Ebola to dry run new martial law procedures.
07 Local law enforcement personnel fearful of Ebola on the one hand — to the point of refusing to contain — and being directed in an over-zealous manner using Ebola as a cover for achieving other disruptive ends.
