Around the world, artificial-intelligence (AI) systems are showing their potential for abetting repressive regimes and upending the relationship between citizen and state, thereby accelerating a global resurgence of authoritarianism. China is driving the proliferation of AI technology to authoritarian and illiberal regimes, an approach that has become a key component of Chinese geopolitical strategy. The significance of this technology for authoritarians around the globe, as well as for their democratic opponents, is growing ever clearer. To counter not only the spread of high-tech repression abroad, but also potential abuses at home, policy makers in democratic states must think seriously about how to mitigate harm and to shape better practices.

Robert David Steele, a former Marine Corps infantry officer and CIA spy who was recommended for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017,[1] answered questions about Trump’s national security team in March 2018.[2]

Steele ran briefly for President of the United States in 2012, accepted as one of three candidates for the Reform Party. In 2017 he formed an alliance with Dr. Cynthia McKinney to demand election reform in the USA.[3] Most recently he was recommended as a candidate for Secretary of Defense to replace James Mattis.[4]

“Edge computing is a critical component of Baidu’s ABC (AI, Big Data and Cloud Computing) strategy,” says Baidu VP and GM of Baidu Cloud Watson Yin. “By moving the compute closer to the source of the data, it greatly reduces the latency, lowers the bandwidth usage and ultimately brings real-time and immersive experiences to end users. And by providing an open source platform, we have also greatly simplified the process for developers to create their own edge computing applications.”

The two largest US Embassies in the world are located in Baghdad, Iraq and in Yerevan, Armenia. There is no possible legitimate excuse for “Embassies” of this size. They should be deeply investigated, square foot by square foot, and shut down if they are found, as I believe they will be found, to be smuggling centers for the CIA and the US military as well as contractors known to be engaged in trafficking drugs, gold, guns, cash, and small children.
