Missouri Billboard Warns: “Prepare For War” Against Government (12 December 2009)

A new billboard off of Interstate 70 in Missouri provides a short “citizens guide to REVOLUTION of a corrupt government” and issues a call to “PREPARE FOR WAR.”

This billboard replaces one that warned that the socialist “Obama-Nation” is “coming for you.” It’s unclear who the owner of the billboard is, but the first one was the work of a “Missouri businessman.”

While it’s unclear who owns it, the Lafayette County Republican Central Committee seems to endorse it.

U.S. Forces Plan Direct Action Against American Citizens (11 December 2009)

“There is an event coming in the very near-term future that is going to effect the USA to its very soul,” former Kansas State Trooper Greg Everson of The Heartland USA and former host of Republic Broadcasting “Voices from the Heartland” told host Steve Quayle in a special two hour “Survive 2 Thrive” broadcast Thursday.

Journal: Sarah vs Al–The People Want This One

Al Gore, $100 Million
Al Gore, $100 Million

Don King, are you listening? And if the world's most hair-raising promoter won't take this one on, then I officially volunteer to set it up.

Al Gore, who is making the rounds to hawk his latest book, gave the back of his hand to Sarah Palin when Andrea Mitchell asked him about the ex-Alaska governor's dismissal of “junk science” surrounding the Copenhagen climate change summit this week.

. . . . . .

cover palinIngraham: But what if it's an Oxford-style, proper debate format. I mean, he’s going to chicken out. I mean, if you challenge him to a debate, do you actually think he would accept it?

Palin: I don’t know, I don't know. Oh, he wouldn’t want to lower himself, I think, to, you know, my level to debate little old Sarah Palin from Wasilla.”

No time to be shy, “little” Sarah. Shooting spitballs and then hiding behind your computer screen isn't going to get you into the White House. But nailing Gore's carcass but good – that's the stuff that conservative dreams are made of.

. . . . . . .

So as 2010 comes to a close, we deserve a break. A prime time one-on-one showdown – the people deserve this one. Bill it as “The Thrilla From Wasilla” versus “The Tennessee Tornado” – or whatever – and donate the proceeds to charity. But bring it on.

Phi Beta Iota: Tip of the Hat to Coop's Corner for this lovely public interest notice.

Phi Beta Iota: We love this, even though it is very time and bandwidth intensive.  As voice to text matures (China is rreported by Atlantic Monthly to be much further ahead than Google) it will become much easier to aggregate citizen views into the Global Game, and to create a “level playing field” for true democratic self-governance acrosss all issues and boundaries–it's called Panarchy.

Kofi Annan, Thomas Friedman to join CNN/YouTube Climate Debate panel

Last week, we announced the CNN/YouTube Climate Debate in Copenhagen, an effort to make sure that your voice is included in the climate debate – and that your questions are posed to decision-makers on an international stage.

These leaders will include Kofi Annan, Thomas Friedman, Yves de Boer, and Bjorn Lomberg.

To submit your question, upload a short video of yourself posing the question and submit it here: www.youtube.com/cop15. We've already seen some top-notch video questions like this one from Mo in Florida who is concerned about the cost of going green:

Evolving Co-creatively, Beyond Conflict.

A place to encourage our understanding of space
in the fluid flow of nature.

Is it possible to understand what gets in the way of human understanding?

That is the question we are asking ourselves as we invite you to participate in the development and communication of a natural awareness that we call ‘inclusionality'.

We think that inclusional understanding , a natural capability that can be “re-awakened” in all of us, can radically transform the way we think, feel and behave, enabling us to live more harmoniously in sustainable dynamic relationship with our living space and one another.

Mark Pittman
Mark Pittman

Nov. 30 (Bloomberg) — Mark Pittman, the award-winning reporter whose fight to make the Federal Reserve more accountable to taxpayers led Bloomberg News to sue the central bank and win, died Nov. 25 in Yonkers, New York. He was 52.  . . .

He drew the attention of filmmakers Leslie and Andrew Cockburn, who featured him prominently in their documentary about subprime mortgages, “American Casino,” which was shown at New York City’s Tribeca Film Festival in May.  . . .

At the time of his death, Pittman’s outgoing messages offered a link to a black-and-white photo of folk musician Woody Guthrie. Written on Guthrie’s guitar: “This machine kills fascists.”

But that was it. All that’s known about the meeting itself is that attendance is expected from most of the remaining 27 members, a group that includes the following luminaries: Paul Volcker, the chairman of the G30’s Board of Trustees and currently head of President Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board; Lawrence Summers, director of the White House’s National Economic Council; Paul Krugman of Princeton and the New York Times’ opinion page; Citigroup’s William Rhodes; European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet; Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa; San Francisco Fed President Janet Yellen; and Mervyn King, the governor of the Bank of England.

Corruption Chronicles is a labor of love by one citizen, and is replicated tens of thousands of times around the world.  Goggle does not provide the needed architecture for being able to aggregate and then de-aggregate this kind of information by name, place, event, and so on, but the day is coming when the public will be able to amass and share better information about anyone in public service than the government bureacracies are now able to amass on indviduals.  It's the difference between Weberian cetralization with its knowledge cubbies, and open decentralization with its infinite linkages.  To understand this concept, start with David Weinberger's Everything Is Miscellaneous–The Power of the New Digital Disorder.
