A fundamental flaw in our financial/banking system? Who would have thought…

A Loophole Allows Banks – But Not Other Companies – to Create Money Out of Thin Air

The central banks of the United States, England, and German – as well as 2 Nobel-prize winning economists – have all shown that banks create money out of thin air … even if they have no deposits on hand.

Monsanto Reports the Closing of 3 Research and Development Centers

After announcing a 2,600 job cut

Following news made just weeks ago about Monsanto slashing 2,600 jobs and ending $3 billion to buy back shares from investors, the biotech giant is now reporting that it will be closing 3 research and development centers in order to cut costs in the agricultural commodities market.

Owl: GMO Bio-War Against Chipotle?

Who? Who?
Who? Who?

This article's author, Mike Adams, admits to speculating, as he has no proof the GMO industry is sabotaging Chipotle, but I think it is very plausible speculation. “I hate that we dump,” one of them confided. “What do you mean?” Blake Percival asked. The answer — that the company was cutting corners performing the federal background checks used in granting security clearances — put him on a collision course with his superiors and eventually turned him into one of the government’s most significant whistleblowers in years.

The ‘electronic Pearl Harbor’
Eighteen years ago I was the first to use that term publicly. It was the wrong analogy then. Not anymore.

The phrase became a touchstone in the long national argument over cybersecurity, for better or worse. I was not the author of the phrase. That honor goes to a dear friend of mine, retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Tom Marsh, who had just led a national commission looking at cyber vulnerabilities. Tom came to my office to summarize the findings and used the Pearl Harbor metaphor.
