The Rise Of America's Lunatic Fringe … Anyone who spends any amount of time on the internet has seen them. They are the moonbats, the wingnuts, the whackjobs, the Conspiratorialists. They are America's new Lunatic Fringe, and their numbers are growing. While the rise of the internet fed a segment of society that has always existed, as the cyberworld has become an increasingly important source of both entertainment and information, an entirely new demographic has joined what was already amongst us. … When the trust is gone the Fringe becomes the mainstream. The government can no longer afford to ignore the Lunatic Fringe, because it is becoming less loon and more understandably and righteously indignant every day. The government did not create the Fringe, but through callous disregard, incompetence, blatant self-interest, cronyism, selective enforcement, and pandering to its financial support base, the government has fertilized the fringe until it has grown to redwood-like size. Dominant Social Theme: It's getting crazier out there and somebody ought to do something.

Free-Market Analysis: Zero Hedge posted the article excerpted above, perhaps because the website's editors wanted to get a reaction on a slow news day. Zero Hedge is what we might call an alternative news site, so it is part of the trend that this editorial by Chindit (whoever that is) is identifying.

The article is interesting to us here at The Daily Bell because over the past ten years as we have actively participated in what we call the Internet Reformation, we've become believers in “directed history.” This is the idea that a small group of impossibly wealthy individuals and families are trying to create world government by orchestrating historical events.

I am a self-employed investor and political researcher who lives in Austin, TX. I have 200+ books relating to the JFK assassination. I have not read them all, but I have read the best ones and skimmed the others. I am always willing to learn more and I am always willing to change my mind. I have a long term interest in history and politics. My US presidential voting record is for Mondale 1984, Dukakis 1988, Andre Marrou (Libertarian) 1992, Dole 1996, Bush 2000, Bush 2004, McCain 2008, Gary Johnson 2012. In 2008 and 2012 I was an ardent volunteer for Ron Paul in the Republican primary. At heart I am a libertarian Ron Paul Republican. I am a 3-time delegate to the Texas state Republican convention (2006-2010). In the near future I will be voting Libertarian in most races.

As for my views on the JFK assassination, I currently think that Lyndon Johnson made a dirty deal with CIA Republicans to murder John Kennedy for many reasons both personal and ideological.

Phi Beta Iota: Dr. Paul Craig Roberts is a Reagan Republican and former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy and associate editor of the Wall Street Journal. He has also been a columnist for Business Week, Scripps Howard News Service, and Creators Syndicate. In other words, a man with a brain and a devotion to facts. He is very angry. This specific article adds weight to the view that the Department of Justice is no longer able to actually focus on justice, or truth, only on ideologically and financially motivated vendettas. The average America appears to be trapped in the midst of multiple competing crime family, all of them with pieces of the US Government at their beck and call.

In Amerika Law No Longer Exists: the extermination of truth

In the 21st century Americans have experienced an extraordinary collapse in the rule of law and in their constitutional protections. Today American citizens, once a free people protected by law, can be assassinated and detained in prison indefinitely without any evidence being presented to a court of their guilt, and they can be sentenced to prison on the basis of secret testimony by anonymous witnesses not subject to cross examination. The US “justice system” has been transformed by the Bush/Obama regime into the ”justice system” of Gestapo Germany and Stalinist Russia. There is no difference.

In an article available here Stephen Downs, formerly Chief Attorney with the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct and Kathy Manley, a criminal defense attorney and member of the New York Civil Liberties Union, report on how the US government destroyed a charity, the Holy Land Foundation, which provided money for feeding the poor and for building schools and hospitals in Palestine.

The charity, aware of the perils of being based in the US and doing anything for Palestinians, relied on the US State Department and the US Department of Justice (sic) for guidance on where to send humanitarian aid. The charity sent its aid to the same aid committees in Palestine that the US Agency for International Development and the UN used to distribute aid to the Palestinians.

In the first trial of the Holy Land Foundation, the US government admitted that none of the charity’s donations had gone to terrorist organizations, and the federal prosecutors failed to achieve a conviction. So the prosecutors tried the charity again.

In the second trial, the judge permitted the prosecutors to call an “anonymous expert” to tell the jury that some of the committees used by USAID and the UN and approved by the US Department of State were controlled by Hamas, the elected government of Palestine that Israel requires the US government to brand as “terrorist.”

As Downs and Manley point out, an “anonymous expert” cannot “be challenged because he is unknown.” There cannot be a cross examination. The “expert” could be anyone–someone paid to lie to the jury, a Jew who believes all help to Palestinians comprises “aid to terrorists,” or a member of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service that has throughly infiltrated the US according to US intelligence experts.

Gen. Edward Lansdale, the CIA's expert on coups and assassinations, was identified onsite at Dealey Plaza by Col. Fletcher Prouty and Gen. Victor Krulak both who worked closely with Lansdale. Lansdale was photographed 5 feet west of the Texas School Book Depository in one of the famous “3 tramps” photographs. I think it is a near certainty that Lansdale, the CIA's expert on coups and assassinations, was in Dallas to organize the JFK assassination. Lansdale had run the Operation Mongoose covert operations against Castro for the Kennedys – an experience that Lansdale found to be extremely frustrating.

Oliver North, who was being run by GHW Bush, was a great admirer of Gen. Lansdale and even described himself in the 1980's as being “Landalized.” There is also a picture of Ed Lansdale with Oliver North in the 1980's. Edward Lansdale and Oliver North specialized in covert operations and unaccountable shadow government actions.

The midlevel murderers (including field operations) of JFK would include CIA guys like, James Angleton, David Atlee Phillips, David Morales, Carl E. Jenkins, Rafael Quintero, William King Harvey, E. Howard Hunt, Frank Sturgis, Luis Posada, Orlando Bosch, Bernardo De Torres, Richard Helms and perhaps Cord Meyer. Deputy Harry Weatherford is a good candidate to have been on the Records Building as a sniper. Influential mobster Johnny Roselli was especially close friends with the CIA’s William King Harvey, a rabid Kennedy hater. The most likely mafia godfathers involved would be Carlos Marcello and Santo Trafficante, particularly in Jack Ruby's murder of Oswald and perhaps in the JFK Assassination as well and other murders in the post assassination cover up.

Routine Dismissive Agreements To Terms Of Service Are A Real Problem (Poll Inside)

Infopolicy: The habit for companies to write terms of service to a length and complexity nobody can understand, coupled with the subsequent habit of everybody of agreeing to them without reading them, has become a real problem. It undermines the concept of contracts as such, and it enables corporations to undermine citizens’ rights without democratic oversight. Maybe regulation is needed.

People are agreeing to anything with a “yeah, whatever” shrug today. A particular website’s terms of service may well include signing away their entire inheritance and house, and it’s likely nobody would notice. This is a real problem, as our ancestors fought hard to give us the rights we have today – rights that are routinely signed away just to play the latest game.

Phi Beta Iota: The law is no longer the law. At the top, governments legalize crime and government agencies become partners in crime with cartels and other forms of organized predation. At the bottom, “terms of service” are so contrived as to waive all existing rights, e.g. to a jury trial, in favor of arbitration or worse, no standing at all. The law has become stupid and irresponsible. Under such circumstances, the law lacks legitimacy. This is a much bigger problem.

As the father of two Waldorf educated daughters, and the husband of a career Waldorf teacher, I have observed the truth of this report.

Ronlyn kept baskets of bits and pieces in baskets in her classroom, and not a single formal toy. It was fascinating to watch the inventiveness of her 5 year olds, and the many uses to which a corn cob, some pieces of 2×4 lumber, and colored scarves could be turned as her students created imaginary worlds. Their play required imagination in a way no video game, or complete miniature recreation could possibly stimulate.

What surprised me was that Ronlyn often had to teach her children to play when the school year began. Initially they would just sit, waiting to be entertained by some electronic gadget, or to push buttons. Play is the business of childhood, because it stimulates the brains of children, and imagination is an essential part of the process. Modern toys which leave nothing to the imagination, and risk-free plastic playgrounds completely miss this point.

In 1888, the psychologist Stanley Hall published a story about a sand pile. A minor classic, it describes how a group of children created a world out of a single load of sand. These children were diligent, they were imaginative, they were remarkably adult.

More than a century later, at the architect David Rockwell’s Imagination Playground in lower Manhattan, small humans scurry back and forth all day long, carrying Rockwell’s oversized blue foam blocks from self-devised task to self-devised task. These children are intent, they are cooperative, they are resourceful. The scene resembles nothing so much as Stanley Hall’s sand pile-with each grain of sand much bigger and much bluer. (Except for the bits of actual sand, that is.)

More than any playground in recent memory, the Imagination Playground has inspired an outburst of excitement. It’s a hit with the hip parents who take their kids to Dan Zanes concerts, and is just as crowded as one. But it also represents something much more mundane: the triumph of loose parts. After a century of creating playgrounds for children, of drilling swing sets and plastic forts into the ground, we have come back to children creating their own playgrounds. Loose parts-sand, water, blocks-are having a moment.

The resurgence of loose parts is an attempt to put the play back in playgrounds. The late 1960s and early 1970s were a time of exuberant playground design, culminating in the great Richard Dattner adventure playgrounds in New York City. Then the grownups got skittish. Down came the merry-go-rounds and the jungle gyms, and in their place, a landscape of legally-insulated, brightly-colored, spongy-floored, hard-plastic structures took root. Today, walking onto a children’s playground is like exiting the interstate: Regardless of where you are, you see the exact same thing.

Lyndon Baines Johnson is a president who has escaped the scrutiny and judgment of history despite considerable documentation that should make him an outstanding candidate for historical review, critique and analysis. His primary biographer, Robert Caro, consistently gets rave book reviews from mainstream media for his disingenuous puff piece books on LBJ. It’s entirely possible that LBJ is the most evil or one of the most evil presidents in US history.

Some researchers believe that LBJ was the mastermind behind JFK’s assassination and researcher Phillip F. Nelson wrote a book documenting his investigation on this issue: LBJ: The Mastermind of JFK’s Assassination.

However, one of greatest unknown chapters in LBJ’s presidency is that he personally gave the order to Israel to bomb and utterly destroy the USS Liberty and its entire crew of 294 Americans. Astoundingly, when the mission went awry and Sixth Fleet Commanders were ordering the rescue of the besieged and bloodied USS Liberty crew, LBJ ordered that rescue operations be called back, at least twice. Against all odds, the USS Liberty survived but after the attack, 34 Americans lay dead. Except for 4 worthless 50 caliber machine guns, the USS Liberty was unarmed and defenseless against the far superior firing power of the Israeli navel and air force armada that descended upon it with relentless and unspeakable terror.

Not a whole lot has been written about the USS Liberty and its just another critically important issue that has been buried in history but two extraordinary books document the truth. James M. Ennes Jr., a retired US Navel Officer and a survivor of the USS Liberty who wrote a book on the USS Liberty that documents his investigative disclosure of the truth, here.

Peter Hounam, an investigative journalist, wrote Operation Cyanide, Why the Bombing of the USS Liberty Nearly Caused World War III. Hounam’s extraordinary book, published in 2003, relies heavily on the work of Ennis and also documents numerous interviews that Hounam conducted with the USS Liberty survivors as well as other folks in the US, British and Israel governments.
