NSA Chief: WikiLeaks Hacks of Democrats' Emails Were a “Conscious Effort by a Nation-State”
The WikiLeaks release of internal emails from the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign constituted a “conscious effort by a nation-state to attempt to achieve a specific effect,” the head of the National Security Agency said Tuesday. “There shouldn't be any doubt in anybody's mind,” NSA DirectorĀ Michael S. Rogers said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday. “This was not something that was done casually, this was not something that was done by chance. This was not a target that was selected purely arbitrarily.” Rogers acknowledged in October that Russians were behind the hacks.

Trump & Woolsey: Was There a Bait-and-Switch?
In early September 2016, in a move that should have received far more attention than it did, Trump appointed former CIA director James Woolsey as his senior advisor on national security issues. Woolsey is a key member of the neoconservative Project for a New American Century (PNAC). When asked about U.S. national security priorities the day after Trumpās election, Woolsey responded that it was necessary āto get straight who our friends and adversaries are.ā He asserted that āIsrael is our friend”. In September 2015 James Woolsey was appointed to the strategic advisory board of U.S. oil and gas firm Genie Energy Ltd., along with Rupert Murdoch, Lord Jacob Rothschild and Dick Cheney. Genie Energy Ltd. has been involved in the Golan Heights – the long contested area of Syria that is now known to be rich in both oil shale and fresh water, for almost a decade. UN Security Council Resolution 242 declares that Israel must withdraw from all lands occupied since the 1967 war, including the Golan. The international community considers the Golan to be occupied territory and Israeli settlements there to be illegal.

Several articles and one video capture my confidence that the two-party tyranny is on its death-bed. I believe the next big leak of emails will show the collusion between the DNC and RNC such that the public finally understands what I and others have been saying for many years: there is NO DIFFERENCE — one bird, two wings, same crap. The two-party tyranny has failed spectacularly. Into that gap we should see a new collective growing, one that is hostile to parties and open to facts, ultimately demanding evidence-based governance responsive to the 99%, not the 1%.
I particularly believe that people of color are going to see that they are better off avoiding parties and focusing on a new coalition that is pragmatic rather than ideological — I love the Malcolm X video — people of color today haveĀ been slow to understand that the Crime Bill passed under the Co-Presidency of Bill and and Hillary Clinton has put more black people in jail than there were slaves at the beginning of the Civil War (War of Secession). Apart from being over-due for reconciliation with our people of color and the hard-working whites that Donald Trump appealed to, we are also long over-due for reconciliation based on truth with the Native Americans whom we genocided, and the Latinos whose country (everything south of the Guadalupe-Hidalgo line) we stole through a war based on lies.
